How Can I Teach My Students LabVIEW?
National Instruments has everything you need to teach your students LabVIEW, from student software, to textbooks, to instructor materials with homework exercises. All of these materials were developed with these goals in mind:
- Making LabVIEW easy to learn
- Saving you time
- Fitting a student's budget
Teach LabVIEW in 3 or 6 Hours
National Instruments understands you cannot devote all of your class time to teaching a software package, so we developed presentations for teaching LabVIEW in 1 or 2 weeks of class time. Each presentation is FREE and comes with instructor slides and homework exercises for the students to complete outside of class.
Online Tutorials
Online tutorials make a great homework assignment for students to complete before beginning the 3-hour or 6-hour course. Every tutorial is FREE, typically takes 30 to 60 minutes to complete, and is an ideal way for students to familiarize themselves with LabVIEW prior to the lecture or laboratory.
LabVIEW Student Edition
The LabVIEW Student Edition is essential for teaching LabVIEW quickly and efficiently, because it provides students with a personal copy of LabVIEW to use on their home computer. When students have access to LabVIEW at home, they can complete homework outside of class, so you can focus more classroom time on teaching engineering and science concepts.
The LabVIEW Student Edition consists of a comprehensive user's guide for learning LabVIEW and a copy of the LabVIEW Student Edition software for use on the student's home computer. The LabVIEW Student Edition software is completely compatible with the full version of LabVIEW, so students can transfer their work back and forth from their home computer to a school computer.
Learning with LabVIEW
Written by Dr. Robert Bishop at The University of Texas at Austin, Learning with LabVIEW is an excellent textbook for use in LabVIEW-based engineering and science courses. Learning with LabVIEW contains enough material to cover an entire semester and provides comprehensive coverage and end-of-chapter problems for LabVIEW programming, data acquisition, instrument control, and signal processing and analysis.
